ICONFIT collagen is hydrolysed porcine collagen. Hydrolysed means the protein has been broken into smaller peptides so it mixes into a drink. Once collagen is hydrolysed, the type number stops being a useful difference. Type I, II and III describe intact collagen in tissue. Hydrolysis breaks that structure. A brand that sells a hydrolysed powder as a specific type, or says one type is better after hydrolysis, is using a marketing distinction, not a difference you can use when choosing.
All three powders use the same porcine collagen. Choose by what else you want in the serving.
If you want only collagen, take pure hydrolysed collagen. Nothing else is added. Mix 10 g, two scoops, into food or a drink. The taste is neutral, so porridge, a smoothie and coffee stay as they are. A 300 g tub is 30 days. The product page says it is also suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
If you want a joint product, take Joint Collagen. Mix 20 g, one scoop, with 250–300 ml of water, once a day. That serving has 10 g of collagen plus glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, hyaluronic acid, boswellia, calcium, magnesium, vitamin C, zinc and manganese. Glucosamine is from crustaceans. Not recommended for children, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Manganese contributes to the normal formation of connective tissue. Calcium, magnesium and zinc contribute to the maintenance of normal bones.
If you want a product for skin, hair and nails, take Beauty Collagen. Mix 12 g, two scoops, with 200–300 ml of water, once a day. A serving has about 9.4–9.8 g of collagen, depending on flavour, plus vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, biotin and zinc. The product page allows use during pregnancy. Do not carry that permission over to Joint Collagen.
Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, gums, skin and teeth. That line applies to the product whose pack contains vitamin C. Coffee Creamer and Collagen Superfood are drink mixes, not 10 g of pure collagen. A food supplement does not replace a varied diet.
